Comparing This Week Bestsellers Lists to Last Week for the Self-Published

Depositphotos_3147619_msmI’m comparing the USA Today Bestseller list and the New York Times Bestseller lists on Thurdays now…two weeks in row.  However, I hope to do it often, if possible.

On the USA Today list, which consists of 150 books, I found 12 books that were self-published Last week there were 18.  I think that’s still outstanding!

The stats dropped from 12 percent last week to 8 percent this week.

#88 Don’t Say A Word by Barbara Freethy has been on the list 13 weeks! And it’s also on two New York Times Besteller’s lists.

Two first week authors:

#125 Cutthroat read more Business Mysteries Boxed Set by Jenna Bennet who is a previous USA Today Bestseller with other books

#129 Romancing Wisconsin by Stacey Joy Netzel

All 8 books are ROMANCE

Since the  New York Times list numbers stayed the same I’m wondering if they change a different day than the USA TODAY

Under the Combined Ebook and Print Fiction is a list of only 25 books. 3 of them were self-published. Again 12%

The New York Time list under Ebook Fiction is also a list of 25 books. 5 were self-published. Hello!  That’s 20%!!!!!!!!

I’m still saying this a great time to be self-published! June 13th 2013
