If you ever thought that publishers in the fiction world were squeezing you like a spent lemon when they publish your book, it appears that the academic world is infinetely worse when it comes to treating the people thinking of sharing their knowledge through academic publishing.

The fictive exchange between academic publishers and J.K.Rowling copied below is unfortunetaly a very realistic exchange that could have taken place between a naive academician and a publisher.

Actually, it does bear many resemblances with what happened to Ourboox founder Mel rosenberg with his contribution to this book, and was one of the factors eading him to work on offering an alternative.

Though the long form format that will better suit the needs of academics is still under development, it is expected it to be ready within 2 weeks and we could not resist sharing the  witty make-believe J.K. Rowling academic publishing experience.
