As promised, here come the 5 final tactics that can be used to promote your book on a daily basis …
Announce cut price: Every time your visibility drops on Amazon and you wish to drop the price to raise the number of sales (see previous page &B) start announcing the sales a two or three days ahead of time.
Expand your distribution network: There are a lot of platforms out there, new one popping up everyday, that will put your book on their shelves in exchange for either nothing (if they work with an Amazon, B&N or Smashword Affiliate program for example) or in exchange for a cut of the revenue. These are focused on a readership for a specialized genre and will bring some readers that are outside your circles. So, as usual, it is just a question of running a search on Google or on your preferred search engine, and put your book on the relevant shelves.
Write articles in ezines:
A lot of sites do not produce original content. They are happy to use free content made available to them from various content farms. Writing an article about your book and putting it up in one of these sites might get picked up by a content hungry site and bring traffic to yours blog or Amazon page, depending which link you put in your article. Some actually do not allow any link, some up to three.
Here is a list of potential sites where you might submit your article:

So now that a list of tools is at hand, the first thing to do is to draw a task schedule spread over a long period of time, and cut all of these tasks into bite size bites, ensuring that no more than one to two hours a day is devoted to book promotion, leaving the remainder of the day for either writing or day job. Though, provided the promotional program is implemented, the aim of quitting the day job to be a full time writer might be soon reached.
And once all that has been done, it is time to do it again… Nobody ever said that promoting a book was a lazy job J
