#ROW80: Back From Home And Getting On

But first…. Well, I went away for a little visit to UK as I said last week. The weather was uncharacteristically wonderful and I didn’t want to come back to the fiery hell of the desert. I miss home more each day lately.

I didn’t get to see my mum (in Spain), or much of my niece Bonnie and her kiddies, but they should certainly all be on this list. Along with weather, being home, great shopping and well, not being here!

ROW80 GOAL UPDATES

My goals for this round are quite simple:

Re-edit Finding Esta ready for print
Re-write Finding Luna along with help from critique partners.
Keep up with work from CP’s
Keep up with blogging responsibilities

So, how have I been getting on?

1) All the CP notes are in. I’m almost finished with edits. A day or two more and I’ll be ready to send it out to several winners of various giveaways (sorry for the delay!). I’ll also be sending it out for a few reviews too. And of course, get it on Createspace and possibly Lulu, too.

2) Now I’ve almost finished with FE I can say with certainty that I’ll be working on FL next week.

3) I’ve read and edited the entire book on Kindle, but because I have to put those edits on the word doc. (I cannot access my Kindle notes on my MAC to copy paste them for my CP, for some reason? *Groan) it’ll take more time. Not much longer though.

Three Wishes: Introduce Your Characters Via Their 3 Wishes

Lucy (of Finding Esta: #1 The Supes Series) 3 Wishes.

Wow, a genuine genie is offering me three wishes. Me? Awesome. Right, let me think. I want to make cash in before you change your mind.

Well, the first wish belongs to Flo. My dearest Shadow friend needs to feel the sand between her own toes, to walk on her own legs, and to see through her own emerald green eyes, instead of searching for meaning in her afterlife from behind mine. I wish you’d turn back time and make it so she never ended he own life, and never felt sorrow enough to want to.

Of course, this means I never meet her. Could I have lived all these tragic years without her friendship? Without her constant nag, her repartee, her unrivalled support? More importantly, should that prevent my wish? Umm. Well, perhaps make it so she lives from today, or is that selfish? I’ll ask, see what she wants.

Then for Ada, my mother surrogate, I wish to find her husband. She has searched the Shadow Lands for decades, but he remains lost. If he turns up, they’ll have peace, finally. They’re getting on a bit. If however, he’s moved on to where ever the dead move on to, then let Ada join him there. No one should be alone.

Loneliness is a darker room than hell, if hell exists, and is as I always thought.

And finally, I wish for peace in the supernatural community, which I suppose means Lucy – Queen Vampire Bitch – must be destroyed. Could you do that for me? Everyone thinks I’m their saviour, but flip me, I’m all about survival, not kicking the bootie of Satan’s spawn. I have no longing for death now that my life has started, and I’m too close to having love in my life, to give it up.

Is that wrong?
